Difficulty
Tools Needed:
- Phillips Screwdriver
-
Face the right side of the unit and locate a small panel on the bottom right.
- Unscrew and remove the panel to reveal a black plastic box next to the compressor.
- Remove the three screws shown below. Removing the left two screws will free a small plastic piece.
- Pry the cover away from the compressor until it unclips from its position.
- These two-piece components are the compressor switch. Remove this from the compressor and note the colored wires connected to each terminal. Now replace these components with your replacement compressor switch.
- Connect this component to the top pin of the compressor first.
- Now insert this component to the bottom two pins of the compressor.
- Insert the cover over the compressor switch and thread the wires through the gaps. There will be a click noise when the cover is secure.
- Insert the screw on the far right to fasten the cover in place.
-
Place the plastic piece, which was removed in step 3, back on the cover and secure with the two screws.
- Now, screw back on the panel from step 1 and your replacement will be complete.
