External Fan Replacement

Part Needed: AW-FAN-6

Difficulty

External condenser fan for various beverage and wine coolers. Applies to all AWR and ABR units. 

Tools Needed:

  • Phillips screwdriver

The following unit used for this demonstration is an ABR-1770.

  1. Carefully place unit on its front face. Use cardboard or a rug to provide a soft surface to lay unit down. Locate the fan on the right side of the compressor.

  2. On bottom side of unit, locate these two screws pictured below. Remove them to release the external fan.

  3. With the fan released, refer to back side of the unit. Follow the red and black wire of the fan to locate the connector fastened by a plastic wire clip. Unscrew the fastener and disconnect the fan.

  4. Once the fan is removed, you will notice corner brackets on one side of the fan. Remove these and place them on your new fan.

  5. Connect your new fan and retrace your steps backward to complete your replacement.
